GuatemalanGuide is a full-service tour company located in Antigua, just 20 miles outside of Guatemala City. We provide travelers with excellent guided tours to some of the most beautiful places Guatemala and Central America have to offer. GuatemalanGuide is registered with INGUAT (Instituto Guatemalteco de Turismo), Guatemala’s Institute of Tourism. INGUAT registration provides travelers with the peace of mind they are dealing with a well-known, reputable company.

Our tour services feature local perspectives on the best Guatemala and the region have to offer. Carlos Mijangos is the principal tour guide at GuatemalanGuide. He is 100% Chapin (Guatemalan). He speaks exceptional English, and his warm smile and self-assured whistle convey confidence to any traveler. He is a seasoned travel professional who has travelled extensively in Guatemala, Mexico, Belize, Central America, Ecuador, Chile, and Peru. Carlos Mijangos has been conducting tours within and around Guatemala since 1997. His first job at 18 became his lifelong passion – to share the beauty and history of Guatemala and Central America with others. “I really love what I do. Transfers and Ground Transportation
Just need a ride from the airport? ¡No problema! We offer shuttle services to/from the airport daily. Once you clear customs and step out of the airport, someone from GuatemalanGuide will be waiting for you. Our tour guide will be holding a sign with our logo on it, prominently displaying your name. We will take you directly to your hotel. All accommodations can be handled by GuatemalanGuide, or you can make your own hotel reservations.
Excursions
GuatemalanGuide offers tours to many destinations in The Mayan World, including Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, and southern Mexico. Tours include “normal” destinations such as world heritage sites, natural treasures, national parks, art galleries, museums, and craft and art centers. But what makes GuatemalanGuide different from other tour companies is that we also offer tours of places often unknown by larger travel companies. Because our guides are bilingual locals, we offer the added benefit of taking you to places off-the-beaten track, places frequented by locals. Our tour guides can take you inside natural landscapes, archaeological sites, bird watching destinations, active volcanoes, wildlife preserves, caves, and jungle tours. We can ever arrange for helicopter tours, spa treatments, and much, much more.
